Mr.Beverage was one of the most engaging teachers that I had ever encountered. He was very passionate about world and european history. But perhaps more importantly, he was genuinely interested in his students.Thank you Mr. Beverage for sharing your wit, your perspectives, and your passion with myself and countless others throughout your academic career.

Mr. Beverage was a teacher of mine for two classes at Whitney Young Magnet High School. He was an amazing teacher and I think often of his exercises in critical thinking about not only the events that occur around us, but the reporting and actors involved in those events as well. He definitely had a big impact on my life and I am the better for his decision to teach. I had wanted to tell him how much I valued him but never got around to it. Here's to you Mr. Beverage.

Larry was my colleague in the History Dept. at Bob Jones University early in his teaching career. He was bright, articulate, witty, interested in people, a good teacher, respected by his students and colleagues, and always interested in people. He was a man of strong character, with great integrity and had a committed faith in Christ, his Lord and Savior that motivated his actions and decisions. I met his parents and his brother at one point and observed his obvious love for his family. We maintained a professional friendship exchanging Christmas greetings and occasional notes for forty-six years. I will miss his Christmas greeetings. I want to express my sympathy to his cousins.

Larry was a lifelong friend. His mother and mine grew up together and had been friends for 80 + years. He was older than me so he knew me after I was born. We enjoyed alot of picnics, celebrations, and family problems. He and I talked alot after his mom (Gen) died. When he got sick at thanksgiving, he gave it his best, but he told me he was tired. We were "like" family. I will truly miss him. We shared alot over the years. I want to send my sympathy to his family from all of my family.. Dorel Morris and the Brissette Family

I have many fond memories of Larry. We shared experiences working at Whitney Young High School as Advanced P;acement teachers and members of the Administrative team. Unfortunately, we also shared extensive time at Northwestern Hospital. His wit allowed us to laugh at all the nuances that entailed. I cannot be there for I will be in N,H that morning but I can pay tribute to him there. Condolences to his family.

I had the privilege of working with Larry for 25 years at Whitney Young and he was one of the wittiest, kindest, most gentle men I have ever met. I will remember our good times as we helped the thousands of young men and women prepare for their careers. Larry will be missed!
