John Jay Lester, age 60, U.S. Army Veteran, Ret. Sgt. CCFPD; beloved husband of Mary Ellen (nee Witry) for 35 years; loving father of Caroline (Patrick) Heflin and Michael J. (Diana) Lester; dear "Papa" of John, Anne, Nora and James Heflin and Dylan Lester; devoted son of Marjorie and the late John D. Lester; loving brother of Lynn (the late C. William) Minnis, Thomas (Diane) \William (Kris), Susan Lester (Petra Mertens), Jane (James) Forrest and Timothy (Elizabeth) Lester; fond brother-in-law of Bernard (Catherine) Witry, Lawrence (Margaret) Witry, Kathleen (Michael) Sheahan and Paul (Mary Kate) Witry; beloved uncle of many nieces and nephews. Proud member of the Emerald Society of Illinois. Visitation Thursday, 3 to 9 p.m. Funeral Friday, 9:15 a.m. from the Brady-Gill Funeral Home (Heeney-Laughlin Directors), 2929 W. 87th St. Evergreen Park to St. Cajetan Church, 11200 S. Mary Ellen, please accept the hearth felt condolences from the members of the LBH GC. We had the pleasure of Jay's company on a few "Tours" and enjoyed his participation and friendship. Although none of the members played golf for a living, the "Annual Tour" provided some releif of the daily grind. Once a year the" Tour" gave us that and Jay, I am proud to say, was part of it. I am sure Jay will be wecomed at the Big Tour in heaven
