We are still trying to make sense of what is really a tragic accident. Wayne was the sweetest person. We'll remember his kindness to others and his love of creatures big and small. May you find comfort in all the memories you have of him. (The picture of Wayne and my mother, Sally, was taken in 2005).

DEAR WAYNE,
YOU WERE ONE OF THE BEST FRIENDS I EVER HAD. WE'VE KNOWN EACH OTHER SINCE 1980 BUT HAVE LOST TOUCH IN THE LAST FEW YEARS. YOU WILL BE GREATLY MISSED.

He was the kindest man that I knew. I didn't get to know him well but the brief time I did get to know him he made a big impact on me. He was the sweetest person and he will be missed forever. But he will live forever in our hearts

I was truly saddened to learn of the sudden, unexpected death of my cousin Wayne. I will always remember the extraordinary kindness he showed to my mother, Sally Kopec. We had a unique connection because we were born just days apart in Chicago. I will think pleasantly of the many happy times we had together at family gathering. My sympathy goes to all his family and friends.

I worked with Wayne when he was at Kohl's--what a sweet guy he was and we remained friends throughout the years. I will miss him and my thoughts and prayers are with his family and Donna too. --Peggy M.
