Bud was an impressive man. I met him as a businessman but I'll remember him as so much more. There are few people in the world who could match the strength of his character. I hope his positivity, wisdom and cleverness lives on through the people who knew him.

I am truly very honored to have known this man. We met by way of business, but maintained a friendship thereafter. Over the span of a few years I was able to acquire wisdom from him on so many aspects of life: health, business, success, love, friendship, etc. I only regret not staying in closer contact.
Overall, most people just blend in with all the mundane background noise of life. But then there are those like Bud that truly stand out and make you say, "What a wonderful person!" Here is to Bud Botkin, someone I will always have the highest respect for, and who is my hero!

My condolences on the passing of Bud to his entire family. Whipple/ Hood St. were our stomping grounds and have many fond memories of all our get togethers. Those were great times, made better with
GREAT" people like Bud. He will be missed.

On this miserable November Monday morning that just happened to be on April 28, I was driving to the office and thinking how sad everything looks. And, then, I heard that you decided to live us and suddenly realized how the real saddens feels. So long Bud, I’ll miss your mustaches.

Dear Sally,
It is with a heavy heart that I pay my respects to you and the Botkin family. Bud’s passing is indeed a great loss for all that knew and loved him. He is without a doubt the most positive and cheerful individual I’ve had the pleasure of knowing in my life—his glass was always half-full. To me, he was a friend, a fan and a mentor—I’ll miss him dearly.
Please accept my deepest condolences.

Hey, Bud. How is it up there? It's not as much fun here as it used to be when you were here. Put in a good word for me. Wherever you are now, that's where I want to be when my time on this planet runs out.

Bud was a great guy, a true original. His zany sense of humor, and his love of wine stand out in my memory. He also gave me a job one summer at DesPlaines Manufacturing. The Botkins were our neighbors, and we did many things together as families.
Aleva Shalom, dude.

While we have been out of contact for years, we remember the happy days we spent withy Bud at Horwich JCC.
He always had a joke or witty comment and a love of life.
May his memory be for a blessing.

Bud was a ray of sunshine who laughed his way into many of our lives with famous quotations, observations, and anecdotes that entertained all who were in earshot. He was kind, interested in whatever you had to say, and the sort of person who made you feel at ease even from the moment you met him. He lives on in all of our memories as the spirit of great humor.
