It has been years since I have seen Johnny but I still remember his smile and humor. Johnny was the main contractor to fix up my parent´s house in the early 90s. Every morning, there was a gang of guys that gathered at the house to have coffee and some laughs before he started his day. I remember his "Vette" but most importantly, how kind he always was. Hope my Dad was there to meet you with a witty comment and a hug.

Very sorry to hear of the passing of my friend John. Both he and his late dad were always kind to me as a friend , going back to the old days of my former bar in Edwardsville John's Cafe. John accomplished great things as a hard working person who believed in traditional values. My sympathy to his family. God Bless

John Walker worked on the Edwardsville Borough as an Assistant Street Supervisor reporting to Street Supervisor, Don Kulick Sr. He was a reliable hard worker whether picking up garbage with the street crew and or running the snow plow truck or front end loader plowing snow. In addition, he was skilled as an auto mechanic and could do some plumbing and electrical work. Pretty much a Jack of all trades! He had a great personality and got along with every one! These comments were made by Don Kulick Jr., Edwardsville Councilman

Well Johnny Boy, it has only been a few days since you left us and you'll never realize the void you've left behind. You really made a dent in the lives of all you touched. I regret that I didn't tell you before how much you've meant to this family. You certainly had a presence, if it wasn't a joke, or a prank, which I've been on the receiving end many time, you will never be forgotten. Just wanted you to know how much you were loved and respected by me, especially for the happiness you brought to my sister's life.
Rest in peace dearest bother in law. I'm sure we'll all see you again. Love you.
