Marlin Shover Obituary

Marlin Shover, 74, of Carlisle, died Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2008, at home.

Born July 8, 1934, in Carlisle, he was a son of the late Maynard and Grace Viola Hippensteel Shover.

Marlin worked for The Frog Switch and Manufacturing Co. in Carlisle as a form maker, and was a member of the White Circle Club of Carlisle.

Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Patricia Snyder Shover of Carlisle; his son, Marlin Shover of Carlisle; his brother, Charles (and his wife, Virginia) Shover of Carlisle; and his sister, Beatrice Shearer of Carlisle. He was preceded in death by a brother, Leonard Shover.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home and Crematory, 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle, with the Rev. Terry Albright officiating. Burial will be in LeTort Cemetery, Carlisle. Viewing will be from 1-2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
