Kathy Kyrouac Obituary

Kathy J. Kyrouac of Des Plaines A memorial for Kathy J. Kyrouac will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, April 26, at Trinity Lutheran Church of Des Plaines. Kathy is the best person we know: kind, strong, intelligent, encouraging, fun, unassuming individual who puts others first. She faced cancer with courage and resolve without complaint and lived life fully every day. Kathy was happily employed at the Des Plaines Public Library. She previously worked at Unisys after attaining her bachelor's degree in computer science. Her first priority has always been being a great mother, at which she excelled. Over the years Kathy has performed with her children, even dad once, through the Des Plaines Park District Program. She is survived by her loving husband and children, David, Kimberly and Lauren; mother, Mary Ann; brothers, Dan, Kurt and Bill; sister, Nancy; godchild, Veronica; 12 other beloved nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Jeanne; and many great friends, and cousins, aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Bjornson. In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to the Rainbow Hospice of Park Ridge, 847-692-8899, or Trinity Lutheran Church of Des Plaines, 847-827-6656.

Kathy was a good lady leading a good life. It's sad to see it cut short. She will be remembered fondly. God Bless you

Dear David, Kimberly and Lauren,
You and Kathy are in my thoughts today as her friends and family join together to remember and honour the very special person that Kathy was--and will always be. I'm grateful for having had the chance to meet Kathy. Thanks to the library team there for the lovely video they created too. It is a beautiful tribute. Sincerely yours,
