John McDonald Obituary

NEWPORT NEWS - John McDonald, 86, of Newport News, Va., went to be with the Lord Aug. 22, 2008, at Mary Immaculate Hospital in Newport News.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Dolores McDonald; four daughters, Diane Rougier, Gale Perch and Stacie Phillips, all of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Kim Rejais of Newport News, Va.; nine grandchildren; one special great-grandchild; seven brothers and sisters, Mary Robinson, Easter Lesane, Jean McDonald, and Frank McDonald, all of Tar Heel, N.C., Jack McDonald of St. Paul's, N.C., Emma-Jane Mosso of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Geneva Murchison of Fayetteville, N.C.
Viewing will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29, at L.E. Floyd Chapel, St. Paul's N.C. The funeral will be at noon Saturday, Aug. 30, at Clark Chapel AME Zion Church, Tar Heel, N.C., the Rev.
