Richard Arnold Obituary

HAYES - Richard Samuel Arnold, 63, of the 7000 block of Leigh Drive, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Aug. 28, 2008.
He was born on March 18, 1945, in Baltimore, Md., to the late William S. Arnold and Bessie Mae Bradley. Richard was the regional manager of ASAP Compressors and a member of the Moose Lodge.
He was preceded in death by a son, Steven W. Arnold, and a brother, Bradley Brown.
He is survived by a daughter, Deborah Arnold Davie and husband, Herman E. 'Monk' Davie; a sister, Shirley Trapp; and his former wife and longtime companion, Harriett Whitehurst.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, in Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk, by the Rev. Tim Robertson.
Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, is handling these arrangements.

Debbie and family,
I was so shocked to hear the news about Rick. You know that I loved your dad so much and he was a friend I will never forget. He was so kind and his passing leaves so many good memories of him. We had a fun friendship!
