She is survived by her daughter, Mary Elaine Burton; son, John Morris West Jr. and wife, Charlene; sister, Edith P. Lumpkin and husband, Lee; granddaughter, Joy Sampson and husband, Mickey; three grandsons, Linwood Owens Jr., Mark West and Richard Burton II; and four great-grandchildren, Cheyenne, Regan, Mick and Dusty.
Funeral services, officiated by the Rev. W. Donald Ambrose, will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. Interment will follow in Rosewell Memorial Garden Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
In memory of Rachel, memorial donations may be made to American Parkinson Disease Center, 135 Parkinson Ave., Staten Island, NY 10305.
