Susan Smith Obituary

CORAPEAKE, N.C. - Susan Kubiszewski Smith, 55, of 1416 Middle Swamp Road, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Aug. 29, 2008 following a short battle with cancer.
Born May 30, 1953, in Durham County, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Robert and Emily McClelland Kubiszewski.
A wonderful wife, loving mother, and a good friend to many, who will be missed very much, she is survived by her husband, David Headrick Jr.; a daughter, Miriah Smith of Corapeake; a son, Doug Smith and wife, Helen of Hobbsville; a stepson, Ryan Headrick of Corapeake; three grandchildren, Shianne, D.J., and Aiden Smith; three sisters, Barbara Bergman of Corapeake, Laura Ross and Martha Ruiz, both of Virginia Beach; and a brother, Andy Kubiszewski of Los Angeles, Calf.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Gatesville, by the Rev. Ron Parr. A private burial will be held at a later time.
