Dear Patty,
I can't believe it has been over six months
since you left this place.I still think about you all the time. They say the older you get the faster times goes by I really believe that. The boys are doing fine coping with you being gone.Steve seems to be lost without you here and I think it is harder on him than he thought it would be.All we can do is go one day at a time and know we will all be together again when it is time for all of us to meet again in Heaven.Even though it hurts you are so much better off than any of us left here because your with the Lord how awesome that has to be.Shirley and Nancy and myself are going to take a weekend in williamsburg in May but it sure will not be the same wihout you there. We all love you Sis and really do miss you more than words can say.

Aunt Patty,
Christmas was not the same without you, neither was Thanksgiving. Seeing Leon and Uncle Steve at the house on those holidays without you was heartbreaking. They kept their spirits up, but you could see they were hurting. It is still not the same without you. There is a void in the family. Nobody speaks of it but you know it is there.Especially when we see a picture of you, knowing there will never be anymore pictures of you or with you. We all hope you are happy now in Heaven, but we all miss you here on Earth. Until we meet again, we love you always. Love your niece,

I was deeply saddened to find out Patty passed away. I will miss her down home sweet personality. What A Burger will never be the same. She always was bright and cheerful and was such a nice lady. I'm going to miss her saying "Have A Nice Day". My thoughts and prayers are with her family and I know she is smiling down on us from Heaven Above.

It has been over a week since you left this place to go on to
a much better place with the Lord. I still miss you every day
and Sunday when Steve came by himself I was just heartsick when you didn't get out of the truck, I am going to miss seeing you every Sunday and talking to you on the phone. We all Loved you very much and are really sad that
the Lord took you home so early. I know in my heart that you are in a much better place than this world but it still hurts that you are gone. All of us sisters and brother will be
together again with Mom and Dad and all the family one
day in a much better place in the presence of God. Until
then I know the Lord will help us go one day at a time to
ease our sorrows. We love you sister and will see you soon

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, ""I welcome you.""

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......""My day was not in vain.""
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Dearest Patty, I can't believe I'm writing this to you, but God needed another angel and he took you home. I know he picked a special one again. Patty, we had some good times in my 23 years of being your friend. You have always been a trooper, a hard worker, and always there when called upon. The day that Larry went to Heaven, you were there. You worked the racetrack and we worked hard, but the fun we had. At Joe and Mimma's, the great lunches and talks we shared with my business right next door, and the help you gave me at my house. Girl, you are going to be missed so much in so many ways. You were blessed with two great sons and a husband who also will miss you so much. You have worked so hard in your short life. May you rest in peace and you will NEVER BE FORGOTTEN! Love you always.

Your Friend,

Donna Harris

One of my very first memories was when I was three years old and my Mom and Aunt Patty and I went to view Nanna one last time. I asked, "What is she doing?" Aunt Patty replied, "She's sleeping. Give her a kiss goodnight." She then lifted me up to the casket and I kissed Nanna goodnight. Tonight I will do the same for you Aunt Patty. I love you and I will never forget you.

Love and miss you always Patty and I will be sure to tell my baby all about you when he comes into this world.

I am so sorry to hear about Pats death. I will always remember her smile at What A Burger. I have known Pat only the last 4 yrs after moving to Newport News. I met her after I moved here and my husband took me to What A Burger for the first time while we were dating. She was very thoughtful, caring, and always there to help if someone needed her. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time of sorrow.
