Leon Guyton Obituary
A resident of Hampton for 25 years, he was a mail carrier and served in the army for 10 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgie Cannon and Frank Guyton Sr., and his sister, Patricia Hunter.
He leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Frank Anthony Guyton of Charleston, W.Va., Michael Guyton of San Antonio, Texas; three daughters, Michele Guyton of Hedgesville, W.Va., Kathy Foster of Columbus, Ohio, Francis Smith of Charleston, W.Va.; three grandchildren, Michael Guyton Jr., of San Antonio, Texas, Kaela D. Foster of Columbus, Ohio, Lethaniel Foster Jr., of Columbus, Ohio; five brothers, Thomas Cannon of New Jersey, James Campbell, Frank Guyton, Joshua Hunter, Hezekiah Davis all of Delaware; one sister, Ruby Davis of Newark , Del.
A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 5, at Ronald C. Perkins Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Albert G. Horton Jr., Memorial Veterans Cemetery. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home by 9:45 a.m. Friday. Viewing will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 4, and the family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. My prayers go out to the Guyton family and friends. He was a good man with a big heart that would give his last to make others happy. He played an instrumental role in me and my family's lives! He will definitely be missed.

Though I may be far away, my heart mourns with you.
To the Guyton Family,
Words can not express the loss I feel for you and your family. Not only was Mr. Leon a good neighbor but he was like an uncle to me. His door swung on welcoming hinges. Our street and neighborhood has suffered a great loss. His presence will definitely be missed.
Take care and may his Spirit forever shine upon you all.

I am sorry to hear of your Dads passing. He was a very nice man and I will miss him. But his pain is gone and he is with the Lord and his family who is in heaven waiting on his arrival.
