Arthur Patterson Obituary

WILLIAMSBURG - Arthur Lee Patterson Jr., 43, quietly met the Lord on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2008.
He was a lifelong resident of Williamsburg. He was employed as a Warehouse Supervisor at Roper Lumber Company, Inc., for the past thirteen years. Lee or "Uncle Bo", as he was known by many, will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Lee Patterson Sr.; his paternal grandparents, Charlie and Woodruth Patterson; and his maternal grandparents, James and Bereatha Venable.
He leaves to cherish his blessed memories, his mother, Helen V. Patterson; his sisters, Felecia Patterson and Cheryl Patterson Baugh (Eric), both of Williamsburg, Eileen Patterson Cotman (Robert), of Sandston, Va., and LaKisha Carter Johnson (Khalil), of Buford, Ga.; his aunts, Charlean Carr, of Hopewell, Vivian P. James and Annette Venable, of Newport News, Charlotte Patterson, Jacqueline Johnson (Kenneth) and Dorothy Smith, all of Williamsburg; his uncles, Charlie Patterson Jr., Larry Williams (Anis) and Jerome Patterson, all of Williamsburg; his special goddaughter, Kelcee K. Harrod, of Williamsburg; and a host of other loving relatives and many caring friends.
A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Monday, Sept. 8, in St. John Baptist Church, Penniman Road, with the Rev. Morris Randall officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Family and friends will assemble at 120 Drew Road, Carvers Garden, by 2 p.m. on Monday. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.

I am so sorry to hear of this. I worked w/him at Roper and we shared so much. Mr. Patterson I called him during our discussions about the Deadskins. All I can say he was such a special person to me and I will never-ever forget him. He was a wonderful man. Family I will keep you in my prayers always. May Lord Bless you and keep you.

I worked together with Lee for several years at Roper. It has been a couple of years since Ive seen Lee but that does'nt make the news any easier. He was truly a great guy and we had alot of laughs together. May the Lord guide you though this tough time. God Bless
