Barbara Shores Obituary

URBANNA - Barbara Ann Verlander Shores, 65, of Urbanna, died Friday, Sept. 5, 2008.
She was employed at NASA Langley, before taking a secretarial position at Christchurch School. Barbara then joined her husband and sons in the family businesses. She was an active member of Urbanna United Methodist Church and the Susanna Wesley Circle.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Larry S. Shores; two sons, Larry S. Shores Jr. and his wife, Jill, and Lance S. Shores and his wife, Wendy; four grandchildren, Stone, Taylor Grace, Lauren Leigh and Meghan all of Urbanna; three sisters; Linda V. Glenn of Ashland, Betty Jean Burch and Gail V. Akers of Water View.
Memorial services will be held 3 p.m. Sunday in Urbanna United Methodist Church with a reception following the service at the church. Interment private.
