Barbara Shores Obituary
She was employed at NASA Langley, before taking a secretarial position at Christchurch School. Barbara then joined her husband and sons in the family businesses. She was an active member of Urbanna United Methodist Church and the Susanna Wesley Circle.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Larry S. Shores; two sons, Larry S. Shores Jr. and his wife, Jill, and Lance S. Shores and his wife, Wendy; four grandchildren, Stone, Taylor Grace, Lauren Leigh and Meghan all of Urbanna; three sisters; Linda V. Glenn of Ashland, Betty Jean Burch and Gail V. Akers of Water View.
Memorial services will be held 3 p.m. Sunday in Urbanna United Methodist Church with a reception following the service at the church. Interment private.

You and Barbara were my next door neighbors in Newport News for several years and we worked together at the shipyard. I am so sorry to hear about Barbara and sorry that when I left Newport News that we didn't keep in touch. God Bless you and your family.

We have wonderful memories of Barbara when her boys were growing up, we spend a lot of time together having fun. We feel fortunate to have known her. She is now in a better place.
