James Jones Obituary
He excelled in sports, especially basketball and football. He was offered numerous scholarships from major colleges, he chose to attended VCU.
He was preceded in death by his father, James A. Jones Sr.
He is survived by one son, Timothy Jones; daughter, Eboni Jones; his mother, Lucille Jones; two brothers, William "Bill" Jones (Carolyn) and Dwight "Ike" Jones (Michelle); one sister, Vanessa "Dee-Dee" Jones; two aunts, Alice Valentine and Nan Jones; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Viewing will be held from noon until 7 p.m. today, at Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel, 1601-27th St. NN.VA 23607. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral chapel. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Newport News.
The family wishes to thank the medical staff at Peninsula Cancer Center and a special thanks to Carolyn Richardson, who was Jimmy's guardian angel during his illness.

Jimmy was a childhood neighbor in the old Newsome Park back in the day, and the same for his high school sweetheart Teresa Clark. It has been years since I have seen the family but I remember him so well.
