Eunice McGoldrick Obituary

POQUOSON - Eunice McGoldrick was lovingly brought into the arms of the Lord on Monday, September 8, 2008 at Mary Immaculate Hospital.
Eunice was born August 11, 1925, in Quebec City, Canada. She was married for 56 years to Patrick S. McGoldrick, who passed away in 2004. A devoted wife and mother, they spent a long career in the service of the Air Force, living all over the world. Eunice had been living at Dominion Village of Poquoson, where she was loved by the staff for her charm, wit, and gentle spirit.
Eunice is survived by her sons, Tim and his wife, Vickie, Marty and his wife, Barbara, Mickey and his wife, Gayla, and Sean and his wife, Vickie, her daughter, Maggi Corrigan and husband, Tim; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Lovingly known as "Grannybird," she had an indomitable spirit and will be missed greatly.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church, Yorktown, by the Rev. Lawrence J. Mullaney. Burial will follow at Peninsula Memorial Park, Newport News.

I visited Eunice many times at Dominion Village to bring her communion. I enjoyed interacting with her and we had several nice strolls up and down the corridors over the past couple of years. I was glad I was able to share some special moments with her. Please know you are in my prayers.
