I sent my regards to the Jones family.Time is a part of the healing process. Terry was my first love. We met when I was twelve at a summer block dance. Then when I was seventeen we dated and then later we married. We had one son David. Later we parted, but with having David as a son, I (you) got Terra as a daugther-in-law, and two grandchildren, Kerrigan and Kyle. Terry you will be missed. I want you to look over your son and his family.

I met Terry through Harold Hood. We went to the same junior and senior high schools. Terry was always such a character. He had a great sense of humor and a kind heart. May he rest in peace. My sincere sympathy to his family.

Carolyn and family. I am sorry to hear about your loss. I wish I could make it down, but distance is keeping me. After knowing Terry for about 20 years, I will miss hearing him say "Terry Monroe Jones from Hampton Virgina, pleased to meet you Governor" and our good times on the road.

So sorry to hear that Terry had passed away. I just saw Beverly at Riverside as she was my Mother's nurse. I lived on Whealton and remember the Jones Family. I remember Terry making those dives at Northhampton Pool. I pray God's comfort as you grieve the loss.

WOW; Where to begin.
Terry Jones was my best friend in high school, thats a place to start. I really think we were best friends from the time we started playing "pee wee" football.

I am saddened by the news, please pass along my condolences to the family, a part of me is empty as I have learned of his death.

While I havent been very close to Terry since I left Hampton, we were joined at the hip for a lotta years, and did stay in contact for a while. I could write many pages about our days together, the trouble we got in, and the fun we had.
I could talk about the North-Hampton Pool, I could talk about Jefferson Davis Junior High School, I could talk about HHS (many of you will remember that he was a kicker and had me as his holder; I made him better), or I could talk of how much time we spent in his old high school Chevy. I will certainly cherish the time and fun we had during those years. He was a groomsman in my wedding, and I still have a picture of him putting all kinds of awful things on my car; the life of the party as I knew it.
For the record, the only time I ever skipped school, he made me (heck, he drove me to school so I could blame him); We did need to try out his new shotgun ya know.(BTW, neither my dad or Dallas thought we needed to try that gun out during the week-days)

I do remember several of his brother and sisters, and please know how sorry I am for your loss.
To his wife and son, you know how much he loved to have fun, so if you really want to know what kind of teenager he was I was there for most all of it, I be glad to tell you all about it; (like you haven't heard).

One last thought; Terry Monroe Jones' memory will be with me always, he was a part of me, and a part of me is gone; as I reflect on our time together, I can be happy knowing I had a best friend growing up that I can still speak of in glowing terms.

I'd sure love for someone in the family to contact me via email so I can learn a little more of recent times in his life.

I will pray for your families, as you go through this enevitable part of life, allbeit way too soon. I loved Terry Jones.
