Steven and I have many fond memories of Jimmy through the years. We have known him for over 20 years and through those years there was fun, laughter and some tears mostly from laughing so hard!..Jimmy was an amazingly talented drummer and we've had the privilege to seeing him play both independently and w/ a group. He was always cracking jokes w/ that crazy high pitched voice were you couldnt help but laugh - even if the joke wasnt that funny - :).. Steven traveled accross country w/ him on several occasions and I can only imagine the "impression" the "crew" left on the rest of the world but for us Jimmy left an everlasting impression in our hearts.... It gives honor to Jimmy to know that his extreme talent is alive in his son!.. we will forever miss him and forever remember him!..
" Play on Jimmy - we'll hear you! "

I will always remember all the times I saw my dad. My best memory of him was at Mam Ma's house for Christmas Eve. Everyone was there, everyone was happy, and it was the season of giving.
The other memory was when I saw him for the first time at Pentagon City Mall. I hugged him the tightest that I have ever hugged anyone or anything before. He also had the same grasp as me so it felt like I was hugging myself.
I will always miss my dad with all my heart. May his soul rest in peace and please god, continue watching over him.
- Sincerely

Darrel and I have known Jimmy for more than 30 years. He was such a unique, incredibly talented and funny person. He kept in touch with us off and on over the years and it was always good to hear from him. We are so sad that he's gone but find comfort in knowing that he's finally at peace. We loved him and have so many good memories and laughs when we think of him. He loved to reminisce about the old times. May God bless and comfort all the family and friends that he left behind. Jimmy's legacy will continue through us all; especially his wonderful son James. What a blessing this young man is. We pray Jimmy knows how much he touched people and how much he meant to us all. We love you Jimmy and will see you again.

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.
--- For many this is how we feel. You have touch the souls of so many in the time you were given, one of which was mine. You will truely be missed. ---

I still cannot believe that my cousin/friend is gone. You were always in my heart, prayers, and thoughts on a daily basis. I'll never forget all of the good times or the bad ones. You are finally free Jim and I know that you are in Heaven with my dad, your mom, our grandmothers and grandfathers, our aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family and friends. The celebration there is probably phenomenal. Thanks so much, Jim, for all of the caring, compassion, awesome conversations, great advice, and most of all the laughter. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to my cousins and our whole family. I love you all.

We are so very sad that our friend Jimmy is not with us anymore. My wife and I kept in touch with Jimmy while he was away, and witnessed to him, prayed with him, encouraged him and loved him. Jimmy had a relationship with Jesus and often spoke of his desire to be free. We will miss you sooo much Jimmy. We are sorry for the family's loss of their beloved son.

I am still unable to fully grasp that Jim is not on this earth anymore ... that I will never see him cross the street, smiling, saying hi. It's so weird and so sad. I hope with every fiber of my being that he has finally found peace. Miss you, Jim...

I was saddened to read of Jimmy's death in today's paper. I haven't seen him since high school but I thought of him often. I remember the good times we had at Missy's house when the family lived in Seaford. Thanks for some wonderful childhood memories Jimmy. My deepest sympathies.
Jim was always taking pictures of himself from the crane with his phone and sending them to me...

Jim was like a brother to me. I loved him dearly, and I am extremely saddened that he has passed, and yet very grateful that he no longer has to suffer. I will never, ever forget him. We have lost such a wonderful friend in Jim, and I am eternally grateful for having known him. I was close friends with Jim for the last 5 years, and since we met, no matter where his life took him, he always kept in contact with me. I know he knew how much I loved him, and I am glad that we were such good friends... MY BROTHA FROM ANOTHA MOTHA! I also send my sincerest condolences to the family, and you all are in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm very saddened to hear of Jimmy's passing. Although I had not seen him in about 30 years, I still remember him like it was yesterday. Jimmy was a great friend during the time we lived near each other in the Foxhill Townhouses. I will always remember him and the great times we had as kids playing together. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.
