William Wandersee Obituary

YORKTOWN - William G. Wandersee, 79, passed away Monday, Sept. 15, 2008.
William was a native of Rochester, N.Y., and has been a Peninsula resident since 1959. He served his country for 20 years in the U.S. Army, and retired in 1974. He also retired from NARF in 1984. He was a member of the DAV Chapter 13, and was a member of the Tidewater MOPAR Club.
William was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Louise Wandersee; and a daughter Elaine Farkas.
He is survived by a son, William Wandersee and his wife, Bonnie, of Williamsburg; a daughter, Linda Huhneke and her husband, Lyle, of North Myrtle Beach, S.C.; a brother, Jack Wandersee of Washington, D.C.; a sister, Judy Dixon and her husband, Ken, of Greenbelt, Md.; three granddaughters, Teresa Givens, Elisa Owen, Candace McLendon; and five great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 19, in the chapel of Amory Funeral Home, Grafton. Interment will follow in Williamsburg Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18, in the funeral home. View and post condolences on our online guestbook at dailypress.com/guestbooks.
