Ida Warren Obituary
She was born to the late Samuel and Mary Whirley in Charles City County, Va., on May 22, 1907.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Warren; one son, John Samuel (Bobby) Warren; and nine siblings.
She is survived by her children, Joan Hill, Junius (Barbara) Warren, Acquilla Jackson, Idella (Oscar) Boykins; 20 grandchildren, two of whom she raised, Pat Warren and Tommy Hill; 47 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and two very special nephews, James Green and William Heath.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Oct. 3, at Antioch Baptist Church, Newport News. Family and friends will assemble by 11:30 a.m. at 2814 Roland Drive, Hampton, VA 23661. View and post condolences on our online guestbook at dailypress.com/guestbooks.

Dear Aunt Ida! My stomach knotted up when my mom woke me up Saturday morning and told me u had gone to glory. Even though I know u are in a better place and smiling down on all your family and friends. You will be missed so much by so many people. I am So bless to have been allowed to develope a close bond with u throught out the years..You was such an beautiful angel sent from Heaven. You made me feel like my grandma was still right here with me everytime we were together. I loved you so much for that. I miss you so much already. It still feels like a dream. I am waiting to wake up and see u again. I love you and Thank God for allowing you to be apart of my life for 25 years. It has truely been a blessin.. Save me a place in Heaven right beside you. To The Warren Family, I am so blessed to have had Aunt Ida in my life. She was such an inspiration to me. I wiil always remember those special times we shared and will forever hold her close to my heart. Be encouraged; to be absent from the body is to be present with the lord. Remembering the days when Mom would take us to visit Aunt Ida's house where all the family would gather to share love and good times Those are a just a small portion of the life of this amazing and beautiful women (My Aunt Ida). She will always live in our heart and souls
