I treasure the memory of sitting with Mr. Major and my friend Rick, his son, as we watched a classic 80's Lakers-Celtics game. I was comforted greatly by Mr. Major's presence and words after the loss of our friend Lynn. Majors all, you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Patty, we just heard the news today and let me express to you and your family our deepest sympathy in the loss of your Dad. It's hard to lose such a special person in your life but there will be a time when you can reflect on the wonderful memories...and that will be of some comfort. Coach Major had a profound impact on a lot of young lives. I will always remember him with great respect and admiration. I am truly sorry for this families loss.

I am very sorry to here of the passing of Mr. Major. He was a very kind and giving man. I had the privillage of more than once being on a team coached by Mr. Major and was always bettered by the experience. My family offers our sincerest condolances to the family of Mr. Major at this time of loss, and our prayers are with you all.

My sympathies to your family. Coach Major is a legend in Denbigh youth sports. He had a tremendous impact on my life. He made you a better athlete, but more importantly a better person. I consider it an honor to have known him, and to have played for him. He will be missed. Jeff Johnson.
