Lindsey Brown Obituary

BROWN, , LINDSEY STEPHENSON March 30, 1973 - April 14, 2006 Lindsey Stephenson Brown passed away at Baylor Hospital of a brain anuerysm. Nine months pregnant, Lindsey's child, due Easter Sunday, was delivered by caesarian Thursday morning. Lindsey was 33. Now in his first week, Hudson Stephenson Brown, is a miracle of health - a tribute to his mother's devotion to him, and to motherhood. Born in Bombay India in 1973, Lindsey was the second child to Nancy and David Pyle. Returning to the States with her parents in 1975, Lindsey was educated at Shady Hill School (Cambridge), Philips Exeter Academy, a BA in Government from Harvard College in 1996 and an MBA from UT Austin in 2003. She interspersed her academic career with travels and working stints abroad. Lindsey's love for Latin America was seeded by a year in Argentina evaluating loan programs for small entrepreneurs, a year in Costa Rica working with The Oscar Arias Foundation and in Colombia developing the foreign segment for the tv noon news. She journeyed throughout Central and South America and adored the region. Fluent in Spanish, "Latin" Lindsey was an even more charming version of her native self. In 2003 Lindsey married her college love, Chad Brown, and they settled in Dallas where Lindsey joined Frito Lay and Chad, now at Hyperion, an energy investment firm. Lindsey embraced Texas and the state fell hard for Lindsey. Lindsey is survived by her adoring husband Chad Brown, son Hudson, her father David Pyle, sister Courtney Pyle, stepmother Sarah Newhall, stepfather Rod Nichols, stepbrother Chris, and a host of close family and loving friends. Lindsey's infectious laugh and smile will be missed by all. A remembrance of Lindsey's life will be held Friday, April 21st, at 2pm at the Dallas Arboretum, 8525 Garland Road (http://www.dallasarboretum.org/) A reception will follow immediately after. Lindsey,

An amazing friend that I continue to think about every day. Working with her so closely over the past year has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. I truly miss her so much and I am taking from her the inspiration to have the best and happiest life possible.....which is exactly how she lived. I miss her so, and I will do what I can to help Chad and Hudson in the future.
