The kids in Rhome, Texas will always remember watching you on channel 39. The old school here saw many reenactments of the matches you had the honor of refereeing on its playground. Von Erich's VS. Freebirds forever...

I was saddened to hear about his passing but Bronko Lubich was more than just a mere longtime wrester; he was the greatest referee in the history of the Sportatorium, North Side Coliseum, and Will Rogers Auditiorium. He will be missed by anyone who every watched Main Event wrestling on Saturday night. I can still hear Bill Mercer announcing his name...great memories of a great man.

Please accept my deepest condolences. We talked about Broncos career and the good life he had wrestling. He will be remembered as a good man. Jim Cotten( formerly with Bill Remley State Farm)

I grew up watching Bronko and then had the pleasure of wrestling at the Sportatorium with him as my ref. But the best part was being able to be his friend away from the sport and to meet his wife and daughters. Although he had been declining in health over the years he always had a smile on his face! May God Bless his family and friends.

What can you say - the man was just awesome. He was a big part of my early years and I'll never forget him or his introduction...I can hear it now "Your referee - Bronko Lubich"

Bronko Lubich stood out in the world of wrestling. He was an excellent representative of the sport and I remember seeing him at the Sportatorium in Dallas in the 60's. He added an element of reality to the world of wrestling ! He will be missed by many.

With deepest sympathy...Mr. Lubich was evidently a very fine person. His daughter, Kathy, is one of our friends. She has always been a friend of very high integrity and loyalty which she must have inherited from her dad. Our thoughts are with the family.

I was deeply saddened to hear the news of Bronko Lubich's passing. I remember seeing him referee when I was a kid and we'd go see WCCW at the Sportatorium in Dallas, TX. Lots of great memories from the 80's and Bronko was a part of that.

I remember watching this guy when I was a kid too. Wrestling was very important in my house and Bronko was a HUGE star in my opinion.
I guess he was too HUGE to remain here and so now he is making exhibition matches in Heaven with all of the super wrestlers, like the Bolo and the Von Erichs, who have also gone on ebefore.
May God bless him and his family and may his family take comfort in knowing that he had millions of fans all around the world who enjoyed watching him.
He was one of the true greats of wrestling!

I remember watching him as a child. On Saturday nights channel 11 would replay the Monday night matches from the Nortside Collisuem. He brought much joy to so many people. I hope he knew that.

Bronko will be greatly missed. Once you had a match refereed by the great Bronko Lubich you knew you had "made" it in the 1980's. God bless his family!

I had the good fortune to work alongside Mr. Lubich on a few World Class spot shows in the 80's. He was always a class act and will be dearly missed, more so by his family and friends. Godspeed, Mr. Lubich.
