Shortly before Richard´s passing, he came and stayed with me in Las Vegas. We had an awesome few days together. It´s a long story, and we had a great time together. Thanks for Richard´s Legacy Obituary.

Our family was hiking at Eagle Mountain Park when The Marines marched in for Mr. Red's service. We were touched to hear the 21 gun salute and the playing of Taps as the sun was setting. What a beautiful tribute to a life well-lived. We thank him for his service to our country. May he rest in peace.

He fought the good fight right up until the end, never giving up. He maintained a full-of-life, positive attitude that was truly inspiring. He lived life to the fullest, and we are all better for knowing and loving him.

I will always remember Richard's courage and relentless humor and wit these last few years when he would visit his friends in Annapolis for golf outings. He is an inspiration to us all. Good bye old friend - we'll be seeing each other again soon.

Good-bye, faithful friend and ultimate warrior. Your memory will ever bring smiles to the faces of us, your virtual army of friends. Smiles which you commanded in life, remaining always so tied in memory to the many adventures we shared with you, some of the best parts of our own lives. We will remain always grateful for your time among us.

We all miss his wit, charm, and zest for life.
He was too young to go, but we will all see him later with the Lord.

My deepest sympathies and condolences to Rich's family. I was shocked to read the news of Rich's passing. I know that Rich has taken his post at heavens gates and he looks down at his family and friends. Thank you for your service and friendship. Our thoughts and prayers are with Betty and your family during these difficult times. Aloha and Semper Fi,

I am so sorry to learn of Richard's passing, and even sorrier to know that he lived so close by. I would have loved to have renewed our friendship!
Our family had the pleasure of knowing Richard and his parents years back. I remember spending a lot of time with him one summer -- and he sure made me want to go to the Naval Academy! I never did, but he left a lasting impression.
My deepest sympathies and condolences to Richard's family...
