Geraldine A. Judy Leslie

Geraldine A. "Judy" Leslie, age 76, of Springboro, Pa., passed away on Monday, January 25, 2016, at Rolling Fields Nursing Home, Conneautville.

She was born on October 6, 1939, in Blooming Valley, the daughter of the late Donald W. Merritt and Meta Houy Merritt.

She had married Clifford Waterhouse. She subsequently married Ronald Leslie. They preceded her in death. Her companion Ronald Obuszewski preceded her in death on December 31, 2015.

She was employed as a cook at Brooks Hall at Allegheny College. She also worked as a cook at Alliance College and in the housekeeping Department at Edinboro College. She was of the Methodist Faith.

She was a member of various AA groups, enjoyed going to the retreats at Cook Forest and loved the lead meetings. She enjoyed word search, crocheting, painting ceramics, crafts and TV. She loved her pet dogs, Angel, Niki, Ava and Mikey.

Judy is survived by a daughter, Ann Marie Austin, Conneautville, four sons: Clifford (Betsy) Waterhouse and Robert (Gail) Waterhouse, all of Venango, Ronald C. (Connie) Leslie, Mooresville, N.C., and James A. Leslie (companion, Arlene), Springboro, 11 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, two brothers: Gerald (Adrienne) Merritt and Donald (Lois) Merritt, all of Venango, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Miracle Lee Leslie, a grandson, Ryan Waterhouse, and a great-grandson Darian Waterhouse.

Calling will be Thursday from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. at the Kenneth G. Merritt Funeral Home & Crematory, 614 Baldwin Street, Meadville, followed by the funeral service at 7 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

Private family inurnment will be in the Venango Cemetery.
