Grandpa, you are a wonderful person. You were always involved in our lives. You were always in a good mood. You shared your love of music, comedy, and trains with us, and always made time spent with you exciting and fun. We spent every Christmas together as a family. I remember when you came to my elementary school and spoke in front of my class on career day. I
was very proud. You always had a new joke to share and make us laugh. You were always there for us. I miss you and love you with all my heart forever and ever.

We all miss you dearly. Thank you for all of our long talks and emails..I sure miss them.
Having you in our lives was such a blessing and we know you have a special place in Heaven. I can't describe the pain and emptiness of your passing here on this Earth but know with all faith we will see you again in a most Glorious place.
You can rest in peace that all 4 of us are doing everything possible for Mom.

DEAR GODFATHER OF MINE HOW I MISS YOU! I PASS THE PLACE WHERE YOU WERE LAID TO REST ALMOST EVERY DAY AND MY HEART ACHES BECAUSE OF ALL THE GREAT TIMES WE HAD ARE NO MORE. I know that even though it has been a year, it seems like yesterday that our Dear Roy passed from this life. His name is still in my messenger, my address book and my heart. I will always remember his phone calls and emails, his jokes,laughter,support and encouragement. This guest book may close, but our memories never will.

Dad, it was a year ago today on a Sunday (May 20th) that you left this Earth and joined Our Father in Heaven. We miss you dearly but know you are at peace and with other loved ones that went before you. We still have your voice on the answering machine which is a great comfort to Roger, Gayle, and myself. You will always be remembered for your humor (nobody could tell a joke better than you even if you told it 10 times, your helping ways (you were always willing to take the time to lend a hand or give advice), and of course your entertainment on the accordian that brought so much joy to those who knew you. We have so many wonderful memories of growing up with you as our father and for being there as adults with your sound advice and willingness to always listen and give encouragement. We miss you dearly. I am so grateful for the week we spent last summer as the impression you made upon Jordan and Camerson in our short time together will last a lifetime. Dear Daddy,
I guess I didn't know what a daddy's girl I was until the day I held your hand while God took you to heaven. I know you're safe and peaceful, but I love and miss you so much. You are the perfect example of what a person should be and will live on forever in all of us with that as father, husband, brother, uncle, friend, or whatever the case may be. If we can be even 1/4 of the person you were, dad, the world will be better. I still cry everyday, but your"little one" here can't help it. We're doing our best to take care of things as you would have wanted. I love you daddy-I miss you so very much- To all of our family and friends-we've really had alot happen-Thank you all so very much for being here and your continual guidance, prayers and support. You are all such a blessing and a gift in our lives-Daddy was my #1 guy and always will be, but uncles, you're so close!! Thanks again to all and I can't bless and love you enough. Here's the poem I wrote for dad and read at his funeral. It has been requested:
Daddy,
You'll be forever in my heart, I cannot count the ways, You've been my ray of sunshine on my deepest, darkest days. Your love, your guidance, patience and care will never dissipate, I wish I'd have just one more day, I wish that God could wait. I want to have you here with me, I want you one last time, cause daddy, you're my goofy guy, I want you to be mine! The other night I lay despond and crying in my bed, I felt you touch my leg, my arm, then gently kiss my head.And though your time here's over now and earth's days are done, I am so proud and honored, DAD, to be your "little one"!Dad-my peace,my friend and so much more. Dearest Roy,
Today Erma and Robert Offner stopped in Billings to visit our family on the way to the Schwindt reunion. They brought your DVD and we all watched it together. We had some tears and then Gloria and Diane danced to your music. Dad clapped his hands and sang along and we all talked about what a wonderful blessing it was to have known you. Diane says that now you are playing for the angels, so Roy, I guess you have a higher calling. We love and miss you. Carol

Dad, as I sit here reviewing all the kind words from friends and relatives in the Guest Book, I have to tell you how proud I am to be your daughter. You were a wonderful father and a friend to all you met. You always had a smile on your face and did not let the troubles of the world or your own interfere with your love of entertaining and making others smile or laugh with a good joke or story. You're making many, many people happy in Heaven, that's for sure. We love and miss you so much.

He was one remarkable man. We always knew if Roy was with us we would have a great time, & we did.

Dear Ruby, Venus, Gayle, and all of Roy's Family:
Words can't express the shock and sorrow we felt when hearing of Roy's sudden death. He was a cousin we expected to live forever, because he was so full of life. Roy was more like a brother to all of us and kept us constantly entertained with his music, humor, and positive attitude. We would like to see the look on our parent's faces, George and Martha Wagner, when he walks through Heaven's Gates. When you hear thunder, it's just our relatives doing the Polka and laughing at his jokes. Sometimes he would laugh so hard at his own jokes that he could hardly tell it! We loved him so much and look forward to seeing him in Heaven..God willing.

Big John C. advised me of Roy's passing. My sympathy and compassion extends to all his surviving family members. I came to known Roy the very first day I went to work at Magnavox (Buter Road) back in November 1979. Roy was always a pleasure to be around - and always so quick to reveal that very infectious and likeable smile! I'm glad I got to meet and know Roy and will always think of him in a very positive way. He was a good man!

We were video conferencing only the day before. He was bright and happy and looking forward to Church the next day.

Venus& Gayle, I cant believe he is gone. He was like a father to me. He always had a smile on his face. Venus there"s no words I can say, that will easy the loss that we all are feeling right now.We all have cry rivers of tears over the loss of such a good person. I knew Roy during his Magnavox days and he was a treat. I currently work for Raytheon and we still tell stories about Roy and Ned Alterkruse and their trips. He will be missed.
