Del Alan Franks, 46, passed away Monday, July 23, 2012. Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Friday in Greenwood Chapel. Interment: Ash Creek. Visitation: 12:30 p.m. to service time Friday at Greenwood Funeral Home. Del was born Jan. 23, 1966, in Van Nuys, Calif. He was preceded in death by his father, Del Franks. Survivors: Wife, Kristen Franks; daughter, Brooke Franks; son, Ramsey Franks; daughter, Jessica Johnson; daughter, Kelsey Huff; mothers, Betty Franks and Nicolina Montoya; siblings, Kimberly Knapp, Kristopher Franks, Brent Belding, Debbie Lyda and Lisa Oro; and a host of nieces, nephews, other friends and relatives.

My Son, Kerry Dennis was a good friend of Del's. They met when they both worked at the Dealership years ago, and have been close buddies ever since. They shared the love of racing and much more. We both want to send our sincere Condolences to his entire family. I met Del at the races two years ago and he was so friendly and had a wonderful smile. Kerry is taking the news very hard and will miss his buddy.
