Jane Morrow Obituary

Jane C. Morrow, 86, passed away peacefully Sunday, Oct. 16, 2011, with her loving family by her side. Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Greenwood Chapel. Entombment: Greenwood Mausoleum. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Greenwood Funeral Home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Cook Children's Medical Center, Oncology Department. Jane was born July 24, 1925, in Fort Worth. She graduated from Arlington Heights High School and attended the University of Denver. She had been a member of the Woman's Club of Fort Worth, Morning Ridglea Rejabian Book Club, Ridglea Country Club, Arbor Lawn United Methodist Church and Petroleum Club, and served for many years as the secretary for the Parkinson's Association of Tarrant County. She and her late husband, Denton, continued the family-owned business of Fisher-Boone Plumbing, a longtime Fort Worth company founded by her father, until their retirement in 1992. She and Denton enjoyed many trips to Europe, the Orient, Scandinavia, Mexico and all of the Virgin Islands, but her favorite pastime was shopping with her daughters! Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Denton L. Morrow, and her parents, Howard and Hazel Fisher. Survivors: Daughters, Gypsy Mallon and husband, Larry, of Granbury and Toni Price and companion, Robert Singleton, of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Christi French, Michael Gunby and Celeste Lively and husband, Michael Dunagan; and five great-grandchildren.
