Jane, Richard, Lori and family.

My heart broke hearing of the loss of my brother. He was loved by everyone who had the honor of knowing him. He will be missed, he has left a big void in this thing called life.

To my brother Dick in heaven:

May you fly high above us as a soaring eagle ...you will be missed but remembered forever. Watch over Karlee for me till I get there.

When I first started to work for the City of Dover 1995 I was his wing man for plowing in storms sometimes.. I would sit their patiently watching the wing go up and down he would never let me touch the controls and I never had to say in or out.. I asked just one time if I could raise and lower the wing ??? He stopped in the middle of the road and said go ahead raise it and lower it... After I did he took off and we plowed all night long and I never got to touch his controls again... He was happy up at lake he would always invite me over when I would put my boat in, but said don't come in to close because its to swallow.. He was always happy and smiling and did live his life to the max... It was a pleasure to have meant him and worked with him.

Dick was a friend and gentleman! Loved to give him a hard time when we would meet at breakfast in Brickstones in Gonic. I will miss him. May the good Lord grant him Eternal Rest and aid his Family through this difficult time!

Gadbois Family,
There are very few people that you meet along the way that have the impact that Dickie had.
When he started with the Water Department he worked with my Dad. As a result, I not only knew him my whole life, but as we grew to be friends when I got older he never missed out on the chance to let me know how impressive of an operator my Dad was. It always meant so much to me.
Or always asking how my Mom was doing. Or being the first guy to stand up with cash when we were collecting money for the United Way.
Duckie knew everything there was to know about Dover’s water system...where gates and shut-offs were, when new services had been installed. He was a walking historian. Just an amazing guy.
And boy did he like to pick on some guys...in good humor of course...he’d give me a little tap on the arm and say “watch this!”
I haven’t seen Dickie for a while but the fondness of my memories will always be with me.
I’m pretty sure there’s water mains in Heaven...now they’ve finally got someone in charge.
Thanks Dickie.
