I knew Jim when he worked for the school bus contractors association. Jim served that association well - always aware of the issues impacting its members. When volunteers were needed to help on a project involving the school bus industry, Jim was always there. He was a true gentleman.

I first met Jim in the fall of 1930. We remained friends through the years. In our younger years we had a lot of fun together. In later years we worked on a lot of projects together. In both cases we never had an argument or disagreement on the way something should be done. I always felt a little guilty about him helping me more than I helped him. However, the guilt is somewhat lessened by telling myself that I was instrumental in helping him find the most important person in his life, his wife Doris.

We knew him as Jim and Ben's Boppa. A great example of a life well lived! He will certainly be missed. Our deepest sympathies to the family.

Many thoughts are with you! What a dear man Jim was. I had the pleasure of caring for him at Club Create, before my retirement. Hold your memories close to your heart and think of Jim walking and 'dancing' to God's music! Judy

Like the others here, I also had the pleasure of driving for DeVeau Bus Company. Starting in the fall of 1975, it was my first full time job, right out of high school. I drove until the spring of 1979. The great memories of working there are too numerous to mention, but clearly, both Jim, and brother John, knew how to run a great company where everyone felt like a vital part of their team! Many times since then, I have told people that that was probably the best, most enjoyable job I ever have had. Rest in peace Jimmy, and my sympathies to the entire DeVeau family.

DeVeau family, my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. I have so many good memories of the DeVeau Bus bunch. I believe those were the happiest years for Dave and me. Dave loved working for Jim and John. I think at times of Jim and his roller skating days and it brings a smile. God Bless to all of you. Jan Harris

I'm sure you won't remember me.I drove for Jim & John back in the mid 60"s & served on the fire dept. with John for many years.I'm so sorry to read of Jims passing though I know he was ill for some time.Jim was one of the nicest guys I know & a great man to work for as was brother John.
