Alice Nightingale Obituary

Nightingale, Alice F. (Nee Zak) of St. Louis Park, passed peacefully into the hands of our Lord on April 25, 2011, age the age of 83. She will be forever in the hearts of her loving family and loyal circle of friends in Chicago and Mpls. Her compassionate heart, kindness and caring personality touched many in need and will forever remain her legacy. She showed loving dedication to her husband, Clarke, for 61 years. Her work ethic was admired by her employers and coworkers at Echo Products and Metals USA until she retired at the age of 75. Alice was led to Heaven by her father, Phillip and mother, Jean and brother, Robert Zak. She will continue to be loved and cherished by her husband, Clarke; daughter, Susan (Peter) Jacobson; grandchildren, Patrick, Nolan (Desiree) and Beth Jacobson; sister, Shirley (Michael) Ryan; and brother, Dr. Allen (Jackie) Zak. Memorial Mass will be held Friday, May 13 at 4 PM with visitation 1 hour prior the service at the Church of St. Joan of Arc, 4537 3rd Ave S, Mpls. Memorials to Humane Society in her honor. We had the privilege of knowing Alice these last few years. She was a bright spot in our day. We won't forget her kindness as she looked out for Clark and expressed her joy in the birth of our first grandchild. We are thankful to have known Alice and to enjoy her for a little while.
