I've seen this website many times before but I haven't been sure how to express my grief. I love my father very much and wish with all my heart to remember what his voice sounded like. I've been going through a very, very difficult time recently after finding out about my grandmother's ,on my mother's side, terminal liver cancer. I was very close with her and losing her last April set off a frenzy of emotions. I thoroughly enjoy reading all the comments and prayers to my family and wish deeply that I was closer to them. I love hearing about how my dad talked very much about me and I would love to hear more that things about him.

Uncle Michael . I miss you so much even though I was only five years old when you passed away. I'm fourteen now ... And I still cry in the middle of the night sometimes because it hurts so much . Michael I miss you. In just a few hours it will be your birthday. I was watching some old home videos at my Mom's house the other day with Kayla and Brandi. I saw the one where we were getting ready to go to Dallas in that old primer gray Chevy. The Great Dane we had at the time was on there, can't even remember her name now, but you and Justin sat in the back of the truck with her and ate dry dog food on that trip! LOL! Good times, good times. I love you.

I still think about you on a daily basis. I had a really rough time a few months back. I almost got hit with 20Lbs of HME while on a dismounted patrol. I thought about you in that very moment. I still think about you every day. Sometimes I wish I could forget, I used to think the memories would fade and the pain would go away, but now more recently I'm glad to have the memories. It's been a little over 3 years now... I'll never forget that day. SGT Taylor was one of the best soldiers I ever met, but more importantly he was my friend. I miss you everyday and I see your face in my dreams.. I remember being in the PX on LSA Anaconda looking at the CD selection the night before. I remember you smiling when we headed out the gate. I remember everything. I served right next to him on that day. I hope your family has been able to find peace over these years. I owe my entire life to you and the countless advice you've given me. Wow Michael,
I got to thinking about that one time when LA first got the trampoline and you'd bounce me sooo high in the air. And when LA first got his dirtbike you took me a long ride around the block. I thought i was going to fall off but i knew you were holdin of me tight. ANd that last visit you had to the US we sat by the fire that one new years and you told us the amazing stories you had about iraq and everything. I often think about you. I just recentally did a project about you in school i felt proud. One day we will meet again. Just because i cant see you i know you are still with me. I love you :D

Michael will never be forgotten. I'll never forget the evening that all the vehicles pulled in over at Dusti's parents house ( where her and my little Sadie bug were living while he was serving in Iraq) and we were telling Sadie everyday that Daddy will be coming home just a little bit after Santa comes and visits. Dusti had just received her Christmas card from Michael for her and Sadie.... that was a very sad time. I don't live next door to them anymore but my little Sadie Bug holds a very special place in my heart and I try to go down to Magnolia and visit her as often as possible. She is a very intelligent, very adorable little girl and her Daddy definately lives through her and she very much enjoys playing with my granddaughter Leksy. My husband has done 8 tours out of the country , 2 of them to Iraq, and his unit is scheduled to go back over in Nov. 2009. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family because losing someone you love is a very tough experience.
