I was very saddened to hear that Chef passed away. I had the pleasure of working with him at the Schnitzelbank for many years. One of my fondest memories is of when I hadn't worked there very long, and I questioned something to do with the dinner I was serving. He came around the steam table and went nose to nose with me and said, "I am the chef, and the chef is ALWAYS right!" Boy. I never questioned him again. He was a very caring man and it showed in the way he ran the kitchen. The ladies, Emily and Lottie worked side by side with him and that kitchen ran like clockwork. Even tho I haven't seen him for about 10 years, I have thought about him often, with the greatest respect and admiration. Truly, he will be missed, and I am honored to have worked with him. Chef is in my thoughts and you are all in my prayers.
