Captain Young was a member of the GREATEST GENERATION. The old BBPD was full of great men who made growing up in town a good experience. He drove me home many times as I walked down Main Street from my busboy job at Vics at 2AM when I was a teenager. He always had a word of advice and a smile. Thanks Capt. Young and rest in Peace.

I'm very greatful for knowing Captain Young. He served as a positive model for me. He always had a deliberate, disciplined manner about him and was well organized. The requisite professional who wore his uniform with great pride.

Gabe was one of my favorite Police Officers growing up in Bradley Beach. He took no crap and would disapline you (verbaly). Not harsh but educational. He helped many of us young boys to become men. He knew us all.
May you rest in peace Gabe, Daniel T. (Butch) Wilkins
