Ernie Phillips Obituary

Ernie Phillips passed peacefully in his home on Wednesday evening, surrounded by loved ones. Those who knew him remember a simple man with a big heart. In his time, he learned to value the 2 most important things in life: family and friends. He taught his loved ones and anyone who would listen to give life everything you've got. Work hard for what you want, and don't complain. Many people have been touched by Ernie's strength, warm heart and straight-forward disposition. His goodness makes it hard to say goodbye, but his memory lives on in those who loved him most: his wife of 38 years, 3 children, and siblings. Upon Ernie's wishes, no memorial service will be held. His life is to be honored and celebrated, not mourned over. Those who wish to may donate to St. Jude Children's Research hospital on his behalf: www.stjude.org/tribute We miss you, dad, but you've given us the strength we need to go on. Your spirit is free now, to fly with the eagles. Send Condolences www.appealdemocrat.com
