Gerald Paul "Gerry" Berry Jr.

AUBURN | Gerald Paul 'Gerry' Berry Jr., 59, of Bluefield Road, Auburn, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2013, at Auburn Community Hospital. Gerry was born in Plattsburg on March 5, 1954. He was the son of the late Gerald Paul Sr. and Mildred Jean Day Berry. Gerry was a graduate of Auburn High School and was employed by the New York State Department of Corrections at the Cayuga Correctional Facility in Moravia, retiring in November of 2012. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Gerry is survived by his children, Heather Williams, of Clyde, Craig Berry, of Cortland, and Kurt Berry, of Moravia; his grandchildren, Sade, Jose, and Arthur Jr.; his siblings, Sharon Cox, Marcia Reese, Denise Morphy, Jean Talada, and Linda (Roland) Ford, all of Auburn, James (Sylvia) Berry, of Port Byron, Joan (Steve) Dawley, of Auburn, Theresa (Robert) Sullivan, of Florida, Barbara (Pat) Marren, of Auburn, Peggy (Charles) Randall, of Throop, Patricia (Greg) Potter, of Lacona, N.Y., Michael (Wendy) Berry, of Queensburg, N.Y., and Michelle (Alan) Bergerstock, of Auburn, and numerous nieces and nephews. Gerry was predeceased by his brother, Thomas Robert Berry. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, at the White Chapel Funeral Home Inc., 197 South St., Auburn. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Fleming. Calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home. Donations in memory of Gerald P.
