Kathy, Joe, and Meg:
My thoughts have been with you almost constantly since learning that we lost Josh. It's an unbelievable loss. I think Josh may have been one of my most constant friends in my childhood. Moving every 3 years meant people coming and going in my life, but every summer I had Josh. I can still see the awkward overextension of his thumb as he hit the tetherball with his tongue pressing against the corner of his mouth. I can remember listening for the whirr of his little boat to break up the boredom of lake life in our adolescence when my own brothers weren't around camp any longer (sorry Mom). I don't think I realized just how big of a part of my childhood he was. Josh~your heart has a home in mine.

Josh came to my home regularly. He shared food , music , ideas , laughter , stories ( lots of stories). Sometimes he would help out with work around our home. We talked about so many different things & he was easily one of the kindest , most peaceful people I ever knew. He made us laugh & smile , & sometimes made us worry. Over the many years of our friendship , he became family to us. There is no other like Josh. We treasure the time we had & will always remember. Our hearts are with yours , his blood family. josh was a very kind soul. we had some great times together. i remember seeing him hold Kaya in the hospital right after she was born. it is a moment that will stay with me forever. we lost touch over the years but i look back on those days with the fondest of memories. thank you to the angels that were there for him in his last moments and my deepest condolences to the family especially Kaya Dawn.

I never knew Josh but I can see he was a great guy, he reminds me so much of my own son. I am not sure why or how but that night as I was leaving the Zac Brown show I was put in the terrible situation of being next to Josh when this terrible accident occured he was only feet away we tried to save his life within seconds, we assured him everything would be ok. we got more help and it seemed an ete...rnity somehow I knew it wouldnt be enough but I gave all I had, we never know when things like this will happen but I can assure you that at this terrible time Josh was not alone and will be forever in my heart and memories. My heart goes out to all his friends and family, all I ask is that everyone of you hug a loved one and tell them you Love them because we never know when God will bring another Angel to Heaven, All my thoughts and prayers, Ron Eby

My deepest sympathy. I have spent the past few days reflecting on Josh and I sailing, beach clubbing, tenting on the islands, running the Johnson 9.9 through gallons and gallons of gas, leaders school. He was a wonderful person with such compassion and love. I caught up with him often on Patten St. He loved his childhood and shared the same fond memories. Meg and Josh both are wonderful people who mean and meant a lot in my life.
