I never knew Nancy's name until this horrible thing happened...but I saw her at least three times a week at Wegmans, where I work. Never talked to her except to say "Hi" once in a while, but she always looked happy and content, shopping away with her earphones on and a smile on her face. This is truly gut-wrenching and I can only wish for sympathy and peace for Nancy's family.

Covington Drive will never be the same, tears flow down our face and a void fills our heart. The day you were called by God, he truly called the best, not a whisper was spoken, for what could we say. We can watch over your children who you had to leave, knowing the love you showed them will help them in the days and years ahead.
Your love for your children was truly a love and devotion we all only wish we could express. So Rest in Peace, and let those you left behind feel your comfort and always know you love them.

To the Family of Nancy & Austin,

THE BROKEN CHAIN

We knew little that morning that day God was going to call your names.

In life we loved you dearly, In death we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone.

For part of us went with you the day God called you home.

You left us beautiful memories, your love is still our guide,

And though we cannot see you, you are always by our side.

Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same.

But as God calls us home, one by one, the chain will link again.

God Bless your Family!

Dear Nancy, i feel like im in a fog and cant believe this has happened, i sit at my computer each morning waiting to chat with my friend of 24 years only to see silence and think to myself oh my gosh i cant wait to tell Nancy this -i cant even begin to count all the wonderful times we had, all the emotions we shared whether good or bad, i know the past few years have been tough for you but you hung in there like the trooper you are and took such great care of your three wonderful children........no words i say can begin to touch how much i will miss you but you know we always talked about the afterlife so i expect more cats to visit me as well as butterflys......love and miss you always, may you and your beautiful Austin and mom and dad live forever in peace and light.....love michele

I didn't know Nancy for very long and it was years ago when my wife and I first met her, but that's the thing about wonderful people, you never forget them!! Nancy always had a kind smile when we bumped into her at the store or around town! Her and Austin's loss is very difficult to process, but I'm sure they are in a very special place looking down on all of us now and smiling! Our hearts and prayers go out to all the family!

As most of us are still in shock, we will always remember the kindness, and support you gave so many and expected nothing in return! Our reward for performing music was your passion to support it. Rest in piece, fan, friend, mother! I will still look out into the crowd and see you there, and this next song is dedicated to you!

Nancy, Words simply cannot convey how much I miss you, and how much I've always loved you. You were my friend, and partner in crime...we had so many laughs, talks, and some tears through the years. Kindred spirits...that's what we were...you were like the sister I never had. Your love of life showed in your smile; your fierce love of children showed in your eyes; and the beauty of your soul showed in your words and actions. I know you'll take wonderful care of Austin, the kitties, and the rodents. And don't worry, I'll be sure to keep in touch with Hayden and Ian, as they are part of you. I love ya chickie! (I just had to say it.)

We have lost a wonderful, kind soul. My prayers are with you all. Covington Drive is a better place because of the example Nancy gave to us all. I said "goodbye" 5 years ago when I moved away and I say "goodbye" again as she is welcomed home by God.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
