Kimberly Baskerville Obituary
Kim was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She was the oldest of two children.
Raised and schooled in Nanaimo, BC, Kim moved to Vancouver in 1987. She loved music throughout her childhood and worked as a professional singer/entertainer for 22 years in various musical bands, and most recently in the successful show band March Hare.
Kim is survived by her mother, Doris, father, John, brother Norman. She is also survived by uncles, aunts other relatives and many friends.
Beloved and cherished by all who knew her, Kimberly will be dearly missed.
Her funeral service will be held Saturday, August 20th at 3 p.m. at the Trinity Catholic Church 6234 Spartan Rd., Nanaimo, BC., with a reception afterward at the church hall. Also, a celebration of Kimberly's life will be held Sunday, August 21st at 3 p.m. at the Brookswood Baptist Church 20581 - 36th Ave, Langley, BC.

I met Kim once briefly on the stage at Merritt music fest about 5 years ago.. Her amazing smile and personality I witnessed when she greeted me on the stage has instantly returned whenever I've seen the March Hare Band advertised since that day... Prayers and deep sympathy to all her loved ones... she was obviously very, very special.

I was a server in one of the regular venues March Hare performed in. I always looked forward to her "coming to visit" She was such a bright person who always made me feel important. She always made a point of showing everyone exactly how special they were. Such a loss for all.

I've met you when my friends and I went to The Boys and Girls club at gym night when I was about 11 years old. You were an awesome leader, one of my favorites. Kimmy was one of the most thoughtful people I have ever known. My wife and I met Kimmy in her days with the band Monkey business at a time when my wife was just pregnant with our first child. We only saw her on occasion after she joined March Hare and every time we did, she would give us a big hug and ask how our kids were doing. I will always remember that about her and the great singer and performer that she was. I will miss her dearly. My condolences to Kim's family, friends and her March Hare family.

I'm so saddened to hear of Kim's passing. I am an old school and neighborhood friend who lived on Newton Street in Nanaimo, when Kim was just discovering her musical voice. I would like to express my profound and deepest sympathy to Kimberly's family. She was a wonderfully talented kind and loving young women who touched me deeply with her acceptance and love of everyone. I will always remember her energy on and off the stage. My husband Dave & I would like to remember Kim for her 'larger than life' enthusiasm, her zest for life, and all the fun she brought to the stage when performing with March Hare. She & the band made our wedding day sparkle with fun & great music, and we will forever remember the great times we had with them on that day (July 16th-2010). As a fellow-musician, I looked up to her, not only for her vocal talent, but for the way she engaged the audience & made everyone enjoy themselves. May her youthful & energetic spirit live in us forever. (Christine & David Scott)
