My dear seester
I miss you so much, it is hard for me to type these words, even today, a year after your untimely death. Not a day goes by that I do not think about you. Time will soften the edges of my grief, but it will never fill the hole in my life that your loss has created.
Forever, Meme

Can this be the Lorraine Coutu who worked at the Chicago Tribune in the '70's and '80's? If so, I am shocked and saddened to hear of her death. My sincere condolences to her family. .......... Pat Schlobohm

My Tribute to Lorraine M. Coutu:
Lorraine, "Lorky" as she was known by her family and close friends, was not only my sister-in-law but a very close friend whom I loved and cherished ever so much. We both each loved the other's humor and looked forward to receiving our weekly emails to each other. Many times we would strike up a conversation on the telephone and talk for hours. Her candor on several subjects was something I always could cherish. The number of people she touched with her grace and love is not a surprise to me. Her soul, spirit and humility are the essence of humanity and will linger on in the hearts of everyone she touched. Lorraine, I will truly miss you, but, like everyone I have loved and lost, you are part of me that I will carry on forever.
My Love to you always

To Lorraine's family: Hi, everyone. I'm so sorry to hear about your sister. We kind of grew up together, and spent a lot of time at your house (eating fresh hot bread slathered in butter, and baked by your sweet mother). Lorraine never had a bad word to say about anyone, and everyone loved her. Her nickname was "Mother" because she was nurturing and kind. I haven't seen her in years, but I remember the good times today. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. God Bless Lorraine.
