Just saw the MIT Sigma Phi Epsilon Mass Delta update with news of Rick's passing. All of us who were his classmates are saddened to hear about it. Rick really used to liven up our fraternity meetings with his gossip reports. I can still hear it.

My heartfelt condolences on the passing of Rick. He was always a super bright and compassionate friend at Comdisco and other business ventures. He always had a smile and encouraging words for me. I will always remember the inspiring letter he wrote to me when I decided to leave Comdisco for other ventures.
Rick, may God bless you and your family. You will be missed as they do not make them like you anymore.

Meri, Chris and Carolyn, please accept our heartfelt condolences. We have such fond memories of our times together on Middlebury Lane. The annual summer night backyard camping Rick organized is one of our favorites. We are so glad we got to reconnect with your family last July. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I'm so sorry to hear about Rick. I first met him at MIT when I was a freshman, and had lost touch until reconnecting with him recently during a stop-over in Chicago. I was very impressed with the quiet strength that he exhibited while battling huge health issues, and it is unimaginable the turmoil that he must have felt inside.
