Nancy Trapp Obituary

TRAPP Mrs. Nancy Trapp, age 79 of Milford, beloved wife to James E. Trapp, Sr., passed away on June 1, 2010 at Milford Hospital. Daughter of the late Tom and Sally Lyttle Fohs, she was born on July 23, 1930 in Bronx, N.Y. She was a longtime resident of Laurel Beach. Nancy graduated Milford High School in 1948 and from the University of Bridgeport in 1952 receiving a Masters degree in Reading and in Special Education. She taught reading at St. Gabriel School in Milford and subsequently retired from the Milford Public School system as a reading consultant. Survivors include her five cherished children, sons, James E. Trapp, Jr. and his wife, Mary Joyce of Orange, Daniel J. Trapp and his wife, Cynthia of Milford, Kenneth R. Trapp of Milford, and daughters, Tara J. Trapp and her husband, Andrew Kopita of Monroe and Meghan M. Schaney and her husband, Paul of Holliston, Mass. and seven grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Patricia Shanley of Milford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 4th at 10 a.m. at St Gabriel Church, 26 Broadway, Milford. Interment following at St. Mary Cemetery, Milford. Friends and family may call on Thursday (TODAY) from 4 to 7 p.m. in Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad Street on the Green, Milford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Literacy Center of Milford, 16 Dixon Street, Milford, CT 06460. To my friend, Jim and his family,
My sincere sympathy for the loss of your wife and mother. I didn't know Nancy directly but have heard her praises from everyone who did know her. Heaven has another angel. God bless you all in your grief journey.
