Glenn DAVIS Obituary

HAMPTON - Glenn R. Davis, 59, passed away Monday, Aug. 1, 2011.
Born in Richmond Va., he had been a resident of Hampton since 1958. Mr. Davis was a carpenter by trade. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He loved to fish, crab, and was a very big Redskins fan. He was also a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
He was the son of the late Harold Leroy Davis. Glenn was also preceded in death by his younger brother, Patrick Davis.
Glenn leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Dolores K. Davis of Hampton, Va.; his mother, Virginia G. Davis of Surry Va.; one son, Jason L. Davis of Hampton, Va.; one daughter, Andrea D. Cooper and husband, Jason R. Davis of Hampton, Va.; two grandchildren, Jake E. Davis, age 7 and Jenna K. Cooper, age 12; two brothers, Mike Davis of Gloucester Va., Mark Davis of Surry Va.; one sister, Sherry Davis of Laramie Wyo.; nieces and nephews.
We will receive family and friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 8, 2011, at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2011, at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, by the Rev. Dr. Charles Bang and the Rev. Cameron Keyser.

A man that I love and will miss dearly.One of the main reasons I enjoyed coming up there during the summers was so I could hang around you and the holidays sitting in front of the tv watching the games.I didnt get to see you as much as I should have after i grew up and had a family of my own and I regret it.You have been a great inspiration to me as far as my family goes. We we so sorry that Glenn is gone from this earth, but happy that he has entered into his eternal kingdom. Glenn was a wonderful and friendly person, with a warm smile on his face.
