Dear Claire,
It's been quite some since I've seen you at Wednesday Nite Scramblers and it wasn't too long ago that Kelly told me he had seen you. He always enjoyed seeing all of you and loved you very much. I'm am sorry to hear of your loss. I really liked Steve. He is such a good man. It is only so ironically bittersweet that now your husband and my best friend/ex-husband Kelly now meet in the heavens. I am grateful Kelly has one more friend there to greet him. (Kelly passed away March 3rd.) Although I miss him dearly knowing Steve is there brings that much more comfort. I am so sorry for what you are going through and I celebrate their lives. I am glad I know you and will always consider you my friend. Know I think of you. Thank you for all you've done for Kelly and I. You are thought of deeply.
Much Love,
Shannon Finnegan (Kelly Johnson's ex-wife)

Dan and RaNae Jessop here. Claire, Sarah and RaNae were at the service on Saturday. I was unable to attend, but my heart aches for your loss. Please know how much Steve meant to us and to our daughter as he would take the girls skiing years ago...sometimes in blizzards I wouldn't drive through. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner out at Porcupine with you and Steve years ago. It completely escapes me why we haven't gotten together since. We lost our boy, Greg, in 2004....so, together, you and our family can combine in our faith for our wonderful guys, and look forward to a marvelous eternity with them. My very deepest sympathy, love and prayers go out to you. I could see in his eyes, just how incredibly Steve loves you and he always will. My email is [email protected] if you'd ever like to chat or seek us out. Love, RaNae and Dan Jessop

What an amazing person! I first met Steve 17-years ago at Solitude Ski Resort. Steve encouraged me to enter the fire service when I was a young ski patroller. Thanks to his words of wisdom, guidance, advice and encouragement, I have a career in the fire service today.
Steven my friend you have impacted my life and many others through your kindness, words of wisdom, encouragement and skills as a stellar paramedic. May you rest in peace my friend, you will be missed!
My prayers and condolences to Steve's family and friends.

I have worked with Steve over the past few years and I never met such a hard working man. Seemed like he always had a new sports car each time I worked with him. Steve was always upbeat and smiling. We always had much to talk about and I always enjoyed working with him. I know he will be missed by his family in SLCFD

Brook and Brittany,
Steve was both a friend and a mentor. The years at Solitude were filed with friendship and great skiing. We teamed together on many accidents and I always gained something from working with Steve.

Steve was a close friend and one of my very first paramedic partners. He taught me a lot, both about medicine and compassion and was always a good friend. I feel a great loss and send love and prayers to family and the many co-workers, past and present, whose lives he touched.

Claire-
I'm so terribly sorry for your loss. The last time I talked to Steve (other than work related stuff) he told me that you had retired from the DLD. He was such a nice person and a great Paramedic. He will be missed by many. It seems you have had more than your share of heartache in the past years having lost your sweet Mother and now Steve. Please know that he is now in the loving arms of our Lord and out of any pain he was suffering.

Dear Claire, I hope you are recieveing the comforting and love needed during this moment. Steve was always an uncle I looked up to. Wanted to water ski as good as him, snow ski, have muscles like him, and have that effective humor. My father was inactive in the church, Steve confered upon me many of my preisthood advancements. He also was my escort at the Jordan Temple when I recieved my endowments before leaveing on a mission. I always appreciated him being there for those times when my father couldn't. I enjoyed many of his experinces, and stories when riding the chair lifts at Solitude. Other times he would pass on his wisdom, and advice. I miss those times. My children will always know about the two men who influenced my life. Ramon and Steve Hermanson. I will deeply miss his passing visits at my shop, getting film for his cars, or showing a car off, and just saying hi. I love him and will miss him deeply and proudly. But his example has influenced my life forever. I look foward to the eternity of being with family again in the presence of our Lord and God. If I can ever do anything for you, feel free to ask. Take care. Love, Kerry Bettridge
