How does a mother say goodbye
to the son she held so dear.
or trade the dreams she had for him
for memories and tears.
How does a father say farewell
to his son raised strong and true.
The hopes and plans now put aside
The years with him so few.
How do the brothers say so-long
to the brother so loved still.
who teased an laughed and cherished them
as only brothers will
Perhaps no need to say goodbye
we're not really apart
