I'm only 12 years late, but my sympathy to Jose's family. Just learned of his passing. Good friend of mine from the Army. I remember payday muster. First sergeant would holler out HERNANDEZ. Jose would have to reply JOSE G. Just one of many memories. He was a super fellow and friend.

Tonia, Renie and Dora, I have said it before Joe will be with Lico now being angels watching over you. I think you should feel very blessed. Joe was a very caring person. He was kind and very selfless. He would help anyone from what I remember of him. I bet everyone will tell you the first thing they will remember is his smile. He had a nice smile and it said more about him than anything. The joy he brought his family and Joe being Joe is what we will remember and know he lead life the way he wanted and was content. He asked very little from those of us that knew him but gave so much. God will wrap his arms around all of you and let the memories of his life bring smiles to warm your hearts. Tender hugs, Janet
