Walter P. "Walt" Snyder, 80, of Anderson, passed away July 17, 2010, at Ball Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. He was born February 2, 1930, the son of Daniel and Marie (Grussenmeier) Snyder, in Philadelphia, PA., and lived in Anderson for past 15 years. He worked as a Paddock Judge until 2008. He had a groom license and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Sheena Snyder of Anderson; six children, Rosalie (husband, Ardell) Cirio, Susan (husband, John) Donahue and Gerard (wife, Laurie) Snyder all of Philadelphia, PA., Michael P. Snyder, John Dapcich and Erik Dapcich all of Anderson; nine grandchildren; brother, Robert (wife, Susan) Snyder of Tucson, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Jeffery M. Snyder. A Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 29, 2010 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Robert Williams officiating. Visitation will be 9:00-10:00 a.m. Thursday at the church.
