Walter was our neighbor. He was so very kind, always coming over to offer my husband a helping hand with his projects. Between the two of them, they could fix practically anything. My son loved to go visit Walter, and to have him come visit us. Walter never forgot our son's birthdays, and had a special knack for choosing slightly unconventional gifts that were absolutely perfect. We will miss him.

Walter was a loving neighbor and a good friend as he has worked at my house in the past and others in the Alger Heights neighborhood. He especially loved the little boy who lived just across the street by the name of George. He and I would have nice talks and he would then start laughing about what George did that day. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. I will see him again one day when we ALL get to Heaven, what a day of joy that will be!! Steven & Cathy DeJong

Dear Lynn and Family,
Marge and I wish to express our sympathy to you and yours, at the home going of dear uncle Walter. It was a pleasure to
visit him and to get to know him. My wife had an instant in
with Walter, because she also was a Frisian. We found Walter to be a very gentle man and a man with a strong faith in his Lord.
Thank you for your love and kindness, you showed to Walter, especially as he was declining in health.
We will not be able to attend the funeral, due to a previous
commitment. You will be in our prayers, as you help with Walters funeral details.
Blessings, John and Marge Kuiper
