Jill Szul was one of my teacher's when I attended Cherokee Elementary. I want to say, if my memory serves me right, that she taught my third grade class. I still remember her like it was yesterday. She was a wonderful teacher that left a lasting impression on all her students; especially me. Jill Szul was one of my favorite teachers by far.
My deepest sympathy and prayers are with the family and friends of Jill Szul. She will not be forgotten as she has touched the lives of all.

I met Jill in methods courses at Miami University in 1985. Imagine my surprise when we were both hired at Liberty Elementary in 1986. We taught across the hall from each other and enjoyed being the youngsters in the building.
Someone describes Jill here as their cheerleader. This perfectly describes her personality. Jill had an amazing way of seeing the best in everyone. I know she brought out the best in her students and her friends.
I recently had the pleasure of "friending" Jill and sharing a couple of reminisces. These brief messages will remain very dear to me as I try to live up to the person Jill saw in me and to treat every day of life as a precious gift.
Jill Klingel Szul was a dear friend and blessing in my life. My sincerest condolences go to her family. I share in your loss.

Being the wife of one of Doug's best friends brought Jill into my life. We had so much in common...being a minister's daughter, a teacher, and a mom of boys. Despite the fact that Jill and I didn't see each other or talk often, when we did, there was never a quiet, uncomfortable moment. Jill had a gift of putting people around her at ease with an easy smile and an easy laugh.
I pray that God grants you peace and comfort in the coming days, knowing that Jill's legacy will always live on in the many lives she has touched. I know that she touched mine.
My love to all of you,
Mark Strode

Mike and Connor - Words cannot express my feeling of sorrow for you and your families during this difficult time. I know that Jill will forever be in yours and many other hearts. I pray for peace for you all as you think of the many wonderful and joyful times spent with Jill. God bless you and I know Jill will proudly watch over you all.
My favorite memories with Jill are sitting by the pool and watching our boys play while soaking up the sun. I am so thankful our boys are friends and will miss you dearly and think of you very often as you live on through your beautiful son, Connor.

Jill was the sweetest person on this earth! She sincerely cared about everyone in her life. Her mom, dad, and brother thought the world of her and she will be truly missed! Jill's father was my minister growing up, and our parents have stayed close through the years. Jill's father, in fact, was kind enough to come to Hospice and pray for my grandmother, then speak on her behalf at her funeral in June. MY father was just at Jill's house a couple of days ago fixing a door for them. My mom and dad stating what genuinely, nice, nice people they are. She will be very dearly missed! My prayers go out to Jill's mother, father, brother, husband and son. May God be with you and know that Jill will always be with you in spirit. She is a gift to all who were were touched by her!

I have had the privilege of knowing Jill for over 30 years. We were best friends in high school and have remained friends ever since. She was my maid of honor and a true friend in every sense of the word. I can't express how much I will miss her. We both became teachers for the same reason - our love of kids. She was an amazing woman - God truly blessed my life with her. I am praying for you Mike, Connor, Judy, Bob and Doug. Love you all.

I met Mrs. Szul recently when she became my daughter's reading teacher. When she spoke about her relationship with my daughter her eye's lit up and she had so much love in her voice when she'd relay what Alixandra was learning. I've never met a teacher that was so excited for their students and loved them as much as Mrs. Szul. My heart broke when I heard of her passing I can only imagine how much she will be missed by all involved in her life. My thoughts and prayers are with her family. You were so lucky that she was a part of your life.

Mrs. Szul taught both my younger sister and I at Cherokee Elementary years ago, and we are very sad to hear of her passing. She was a wonderful teacher and person, and I am so glad that Mrs. Szul was my third grade science teacher. After all, I will never forget I got my first 'F' in her class!
The Van Vactor family's thoughts and prayers go out to Mr. Szul and Connor. Rest in Peace, Jill Szul.

Dear Friend,
Our last day together was a typical Sunday sitting together in church side by side, catching up on all recent events and happenings in our busy lives while the choir was singing! You changed my life in so many positive ways and left this world a much better place. I am so blessed to have you for a bff! I've always said you were my greatest cheerleader and so interested in the lives of my children as well. Our last sermon was about being quiet and listening to God's whispers to us. I will be waiting to hear from you my friend. Prayers for your dear Connor, Mike, Doug, Mom and Dad and so many who loved you!

My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family and all those who knew and loved her. Rest in Peace!

I don't even know what to say... Mrs. Szul was one of my favorite teachers of all time! I remember her letting the girls in class listen to Ace of Base. I guess that proves how old I am. Regardless, I still remember her and what a great time I had in class. She will be missed.
RIP Mrs. Szul
My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends at this difficult time.

I knew Jill as Mrs. Szul, I was a student in one of her many 3rd grade classes. Mrs. Szul was such a sweet and wonderful person, you could always sense that teaching was her passion. I hadn't seen her for 8 years and she remembered my name without missing a beat, that is just one example of the dedication she had to her students. My deepest condolences to her family during this extremely difficult time. And also to Jill's family I would like to say... may the memories of Jill and the love of family surround you and give you strength in the days ahead. She will truly be missed by all friends, family, students.
